SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Two men were indicted in connection with a string of commercial burglaries, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney said Wednesday.

Jamie Volini, 46, of East Patchogue, and John Mahoney, 41, of Mastic, would steal or try to steal ATMs from inside once they broke in, Tierney said. The two face charges of burglary, grand larceny and other related charges.

"Two individuals have been taken into custody in connection with yet another series of commercial burglaries in Suffolk County," Tierney said in a news release. "The arrests are the result of diligent investigative work by the Suffolk County Police Department, and I thank them for their work on this case. We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to ensure that those that steal the property of others are held responsible for their actions."

The two successfully removed two ATMs from two separate businesses and stole money from a third ATM at another location, investigators said.
