Anthony Palumbo, Former SCPD Detective From Patchogue, Dies

Served as a homicide detective in the Suffolk County Police Department.

Anthony Palumbo, a retired Suffolk County Police Department Homicide originally from Patchogue, died on Jan. 3. He was 80.

Palumbo, who lived in Mattituck, is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Lori, Sharon and Anthony Palumbo; sisters, Virginia, Rita Perry, Nancy Mason; and grandchildren, Lorelei, Ryan and Madeline Palumbo.

Liturgy of Christian Burial, Wednesday at 10:00 A.M., at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church (Opposite Funeral Home). Interment, with U.S. Coast Guard Honors, at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
