PATCHOGUE, NY — The chain restaurant Burrito Mariachi Mexican Grill has plans to open another Long Island location in Patchogue.

The family-owned restaurant, which is best known for its creative burritos and bowls, has locations further west in Massapequa and Farmingdale. Some of its signature dishes include the “Lazy Mike,” “Stack Cheddar,” and “J&C” burritos, and there is a very big selection of freshly-made foods and ingredients that can be combined in personalized burrito bowls, according to the restaurant’s chief operating officer, Sam Liu.

Visitors will be able to view behind the counter and selection food combinations for their burrito bowls, said Liu, adding, “We also have a crispy quesadilla, which is nice.”

Patchogue will be the chain’s first drive-thru location, which, Liu says will make it more convenient for diners. However, the menu will be pre-set, which will make it easier to order and for diners to collect their food.

Meals at the restaurant will run from $10 to $14, according to Liu.

In the meantime, the restaurant has applied to the Village of Patchogue seeking permission for modifications to the building, as well as an architectural review for some exterior changes and new signage.

A public hearing will be held before the planning board on June 22. It starts at 7 p.m.
