Election workers needed in Suffolk County

Since the pandemic there has been a huge decline in election workers in Suffolk County.

Since Covid in 2020 there has been a huge decline in election workers. From Montauk to Huntington the need for people to work on election days has become critical. There are thousands of polling places in Suffolk County which are required by New York State so that Every registered voter has the opportunity to cast a ballot and choose the candidate of their choice. There is a major frustration out there with voters due to lack of staff on election days . We need your help! Election workers get paid starting at 17.50 and hour and paid training. Being registered to vote is the only requirement. Perception is that you must be registered in a party but this is incorrect. Political affiliation has no bearing on this.You work a few days a year and get trained yearly. Election workers are the core of voting on Election Day . The main goal is so that each and every person registered has the opportunity to vote.

Sadly with the decline in election workers people are becoming more frustrated on election days with longer lines and issues do to lack of staff. Support is needed .
