Fire Island Camping, Glamping, And Marina Reservations To Go Live On Wednesday

FIRE ISLAND, NY — Online camping, glamping, and marina reservations will go live Wednesday for Fire Island National Seashore.

Glamping reservations for Watch Hill and Sailors Haven will open at 8 a.m. Marina reservations for Watch Hill and Sailors Haven will open at 10 a.m.

Reservations for glamping at Cedar Paint in East Hampton will also go live on Wednesday at 8 a.m.

The seashore's outdoor live music program is expected to return, and Watch Hill's playground will be complete.

Rates remain unchanged for the upcoming season.

"We understand how challenging inflation has been on New Yorkers the last couple of years so we are doing our best to keep access to the seashore for our visitors as affordable as possible," seashore officials wrote in an email. "We are not raising marina slip rates, campsite, or glampsite rates at Watch Hill or Sailors Haven."

There will also be "a few signficant rule changes" at Sailors Haven that officials hope will resolve an issue, in which boaters with Sunday morning check-outs don't leave and block check-ins for Sunday reservations.

Marina check-out time will now be 10 a.m. at both Watch Hill and Sailors Haven. There will also be a Sailors Haven Marina weekend summer special with a discount of over 15 percent given for a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday reservation at $9.50 a foot. Check-in is Friday with a check-out on Monday.
