Grammy Award Nominee Brian McKnight To Perform On Long Island

He's best known for songs like "Love Is" with Vanessa Williams, "Back At One, " and "Anytime."

PATCHOGUE, NY — Grammy Award-nominated singer and songwriter, Brian McKnight, will perform at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Aug. 16.

McKnight has released 19 albums over the past twenty-five years, selling over 30 million albums worldwide, and has been nominated for 16 Grammy Awards, theatre officials said. In 1992 McKnight released his self-titled and first album, which landed on the Billboard 200 chart. He's best known for songs like "Anytime, "Back At One," and "Love Is."

Outside the world of recording, he has starred in the Broadway production of "Chicago" and has used his vast industry knowledge as a red-carpet host for Extra! TV. He has also appeared on television in shows like "Sister Sister," and movies like "A Diva's Christmas Carol," according to Wikipedia.

McKnight is a multi-instrumentalist who plays nine instruments including piano, guitar, bass, drums, percussions, trombone, tuba, flugelhorn, and trumpet. McKnight released the album "Genesis" in 2017 through Sono Recording Group. The first single released off his 2017 "Genesis" album, "Forever," quickly reached the Top 25 on Billboard's Adult R&B Chart, and peaked high with radio charts all over the country.

The album's second single, "I Want You" was performed live for millions on the hit daytime talk show featuring Steve Harvey.

In June, he will release a new album, "Bedtime Story," with singles, including "'42 (Grown Up Tipsy)" and "When I'm Gone."
