An 'Inconceivable' Evening With Cary Elwes Planned On Long Island

The swashbuckling actor from the beloved "The Princess Bride" will reveal behind-the-set secrets from the 1987 film.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Vizzini would say it's inconceivable.

Cary Elwes, the British actor who portrayed "Westley" in the classic 1987 film, "The Princess Bride," will offer a behind-the-scenes look at life on the set of the film after a special screening at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in the fall.

"The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes" will come to the theater on Sept. 22.

The film follows a farm boy who becomes a pirate on his journey to find his true love, Princess Buttercup, who is played by Robin Wright. Along the way, Westley meets numerous memorable characters as he struggles to be reunited with Buttercup.

After a screening, Elwes will take part in a moderated discussion, "revealing never before shared secrets and tales of inconceivable antics," theater officials said in a news release.

Tickets for "The Princess Bride" run from $55 to $75, including fees.

VIP packages include the best seats in the house, a meet and greet with Elwes, and a signed copy of his best-selling book, "As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride."

It costs $150.
