Learn about crabs and crab art

Science and art about Long Island crabs at CEED

Join crab experts, Marine Biologist Dr. Jeffrey Levinton, and Marine Biology Ph.D. student Hannah Craft, in a discussion about the wonders of crabs on Sunday, July 30 at 1:00 PM.

One of the most successful groups of animals, crabs are found all over the world, in the oceans, but also in fresh water, and even sometimes on land. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn about the crabs found on Long Island and have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions with two people who have extensive knowledge of these fascinating creatures.

After the conversation, Join artist Jack Dambrosio in a printmaking workshop to create cards using shells, crab carapaces, and other beach items.
