Wearing purple to mark the day, students at each of the district’s schools participated in a wide variety of activities. High schoolers reflected on messages of love in their English classes and appreciated positive notes left for them in the hallways by staff. At the middle school, students were greeted with chalk messages on the school’s outdoor walkway and took selfies in a cafeteria photo booth station. Frank P. Long Intermediate School students were challenged to complete kindness acts throughout the week, and elementary schoolers engaged in acts of kindness, as well.
