New Burlington In Patchogue To Open Next Month

The new store will be one of two businesses taking over the former Bob's Store at the Gateway Plaza.

PATCHOGUE, NY — The new Burlington in Patchogue will host its grand opening next month.

The store, which relocated from 196 E. Main Street to the Gateway Plaza on 499-2B Sunrise Highway, will finally be opening on June 4.

The department store is one of two businesses taking over the former Bob's Store, which closed down this year after the company declared bankruptcy. Ashley Furniture store will also be opening at that location.

"We are thrilled to remain in Patchogue, continuing to offer the community great values on brand name merchandise for the entire family and home," Michael O’Sullivan, CEO of Burlington Stores, said. "Whether they’re looking for brand name clothing, stylish home décor items, baby products, or everyday essentials, customers will discover fantastic bargains on new merchandise arriving regularly."

The new location will include a wide selection of items including ladies’ apparel and accessories, menswear, children’s clothing, footwear, home decor, pet needs, essential items, and more.

The store hours will be Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.

The chain is currently hiring for the new store. Those interested can inquire at BurlingtonStores.jobs.

During the grand opening, Burlington partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org to donate $5,000 to Bay Elementary School to support teachers and their classrooms.

The presentation of each donation to local school leaders and representatives will take place at the ribbon-cutting ceremony outside of the new store.
