Patchogue's 'Alive After 5' To Proceed Despite Air Quality Warning

The popular street festival will start its summer season on Thursday.

PATCHOGUE, NY — The start of a beloved summer tradition is scheduled to continue, despite a state-wide air advisory.

The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce announced that Alive After Five event is "good to go" for Thursday, June 29 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The outdoor street festival features live music, food vendors, and more.

"Our current read of the predicted conditions at the time of the event will have an AQI within the moderate range, and may go slightly into a range above 100 AQI, where those with pre-existing respiratory health concerns should be more careful outdoors," the chamber said on its website.

The chamber also said it will continue to monitor the AQI if anything changes.

Future Alive After Five dates include July 13, July 27 and Aug. 10.
