PATCHOGUE, NY — Another local tradition is making a big comeback this summer after a nearly two-year absence.

Musicians, vendors, bouncey houses, and arts and crafts will once again line Patchogue's Main Street for Alive After Five over July and August. Village officials have set four dates for Thursday nights, starting with July 14, and followed by July 28, as well as Aug. 11 and Aug. 25. In case one of the dates is foiled by the weather, officials have set a rain date for Sept. 1.

The events will run 5 to 9 p.m.

The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce made the annoucement on its website this week, noting, "We're back, baby!"

The event had been post-poned the last two summers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
