PATCHOGUE, NY—Midnight on Main Street is Patchogue Village's popular New Year's Eve celebration. Last year, the event had to go virtual due to COVID-19 concerns, but 2021's party will once again take place on Main St.

The family-oriented event schedules Patchogue's New Year's ball ceremony from 7 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 31 on W. Main St. and West Ave.

David Kennedy, Executive Director of The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce which hosts the event, told Patch that the chamber is watching for any new guidelines, but that as of now, the gathering should look a lot like years past.

Kennedy said they are keeping track of any new developments in restrictions that may arise due to the Omicron variant but he trusts in state, local and federal guidelines.

Midnight on Main Street will have vendors with hot beverages, a DJ, party hats and noise makers for children and a fireworks show.
