PATCHOGUE, NY — Read this before you think about throwing out your Halloween pumpkins.

Patchogue's annual 'Walk-Through Zoo' has been set for Saturday, as the Parks and Recreation Department joins forces with Steppin' Out Ponies in Central Islip to bring back the event for the 3rd year, allowing visitors to interact with a menagerie of barnyard animals.

And if you have any left-over pumpkins from Halloween, officials are encouraging you to bring those gorgeous gourds along as a treat for the fuzzy guests you might meet.
