BELLPORT, NY — The Village of Bellport will play host to good ole St. Nick himself — or at least a pretty good version of the big guy — on Dec. 3 for two Christmas-themed events.

To start the day off, the village is partnering with the chamber of commerce to host Breakfast with Santa at the community center on Bell Street from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Organizers ask that attendees bring an unwrapped toy for donation to a child in need this holiday season.

There's a little bit of a break in between, but there is still plenty to do and see in Bellport before the tree lighting and parade that will take place between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. Shop owners along Main Street will be handing out candy canes and other novelties and Avino's Italian Table will provide complimentary hot cocoa, according to a post on Bellport.com.

The cast from The Gateway's production of "A Christmas Carol: A Broadway Musical" will perform and children will be able to write notes to Santa Claus for display at the gazebo, the post reads.

It will begin at the Bellport Fire Department Firehouse and will proceed along Main Street to the Village Green Gazebo on Bell Street.
