LONG ISLAND — This weekend seems as if it will be very different from last weekend, as several inches of snow are in the forecast for Long Island. According to the National Weather Service, most of the week will be warm but full of rain. That will change Friday when cold air moves in. It will go from a high of 46 degrees Thursday to only 30 Friday — and it will drop to 20 Friday night.

"Several inches of snow will be possible, highest across the interior, least across the coast," the weather service said in a statement.

That forecast could change because the system is still far out. The snow will likely be followed by rain.
