Southdown Coffee To Open Patchogue Location

It will be the sixth location for the grinder.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Southdown Coffee is set to open its latest location in Patchogue, according to a news release.

The coffee chain has leased a 2,126-square-foot retail space in the New Village complex on Main Street, making it the first location to open on the south shore, the Long Island Business News reported.

The grinder's other locations include Port Jefferson, Huntington, Glen Cove, Oyster Bay, and Northport. Its Port Jefferson location opened in September 2021, according to Greaterlongisland.com.

New Village was constructed by TRITEC as a mixed-use building with housing and retail as part of the revitalization of Patchogue.

In a news release, Colliers' Senior Managing Director Maria Valanzano said "New Village helped provide an anchor to redevelop Patchogue and create a new sense of place for the village."

“The transformative project provided the energy that a community like Patchogue needs to keep moving forward," she said. "We were very pleased to find such an excellent location for Southdown Coffee’s first establishment on the south shore.”

Chris Kelly, vice president of marketing at TRITEC, said the mixed-use development at New Village has helped to "completely revitalize Patchogue."

“Bringing in a tenant such as Southdown Coffee, which has multiple locations across Long Island, will provide both tenants and community members with a place to congregate," Kelly said. "Individuals will be able to grab a coffee, meet a friend for breakfast or catch up on some work while being footsteps away from all the town has to offer.”
