PATCHOGUE, NY — St. Patrick's Day will be arriving later this year — at least in Patchogue.

The annual holiday parade will be postponed from March to September. The parade will be taking place on Sept. 19, right between the annual St. Liberata and Hispanic Heritage festivals, GreaterPatchogue reports.

However, for those who don't want to wait for the holiday, which is on March 17, the village will still be hosting the "passing of the sash" tradition and restaurants still have the options to offer St. Patrick's Day specials, according to the report.
