Thousands Expected July 4 For 'Artists On The Lane' On Long Island

Artists from all over the U.S. will showcase their talents in a variety of mediums, including paint, ceramic, and photography.

BELLPORT, NY — Artists, art lovers, and collectors from all over the U.S. will converge on Bellport Village as part of the South Bay Art Association's 65th annual Artists on the Lane on Tuesday.

The show, one of Long Island’s largest and oldest continually-run summer art festivals, will feature seasoned and emerging artists and is expected to draw thousands.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. along Bellport Lane.

In addition to the show, the art association will also hold its annual art raffle with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the 28th Annual Nita Elder Student Scholarship Fund that will be handed out this November.

The organization's president, Jacqueline Dupre, said members hope Artists on the Lane will continue to inspire future generations of artists for years to come.

"Artists on the Lane has been my favorite event since I was a child. Everyone in the community looks forward to strolling the lane to check out all the amazing and talented exhibitors," she said.

Artists on the Lane is not the only event planned in Bellport on Tuesday.

The Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society will host its annual antique and collectible show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Post-Crowell House on Bellport Lane.
