Yaphank Historical Society To Host Holiday House Tours This Weekend

The tours will include local historical houses and will include a holiday music performance, as well as refreshments.

YAPHANK, NY — The Yaphank Historical Society will host tours of its historic houses that are decorated for the holidays this weekend.

The tours will begin at the Swezey-Avey House where tickets and instructions can be picked up. In addition to the Swezey-Avey House, the tour includes the Robert and Isabella Hawkins House, the Booth House Museum, the Homan-Gerard House, St. Andrews Church, and the Pol House.

Docents will be available to answer questions.

Exhibit Rooms will be open at the Swezey-Avey House and the Bank of the River Gift Shop will be open at the Hawkins House.

The tours include music by Don and Susan Cerceand, as well as holiday refreshments.

The event will run 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The donation is $10 for adults and children under 12 will receive free admission.

Tickets can be purchased at the Swezey-Avey House on the day of the tour or online.
