Ida Damaged High School Restored In Upper Dublin: Video

A new video by Hirschberg Mechanical shows a six-month restoration project to Upper Dublin High School, damaged due to Hurricane Ida.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — A new video has been put together showing a six-month restoration project to bring the Upper Dublin High School building back to functionality after last year's devastating tornado spawned by Hurricane Ida.

The company Hirschberg Mechanical posted a video on its Facebook page detailing the extensive work that was undertaken to get the high school back up and running again after it was damaged during Ida in early September 2021.

Upper Dublin Township was one of the hardest hit communities following Hurricane Ida.

The government complex building was rendered uninhabitable after the roof was torn off during a tornado, and both the high school and Fort Washington Elementary School suffered serious damage due to the strong tornado winds and ensuing flooding caused by the storm.

There was also widespread residential damage throughout the community.
