Bucks Co. 'Tiny House' Open For Tours This Weekend

Do tiny houses intrigue you? Good, because you'll have a chance this weekend to get an up-close look at one in Bucks County.

A 270-square-foot, solar-powered tiny house built recently at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown will be open for tours this Sunday. The home, which was built by Mesa Lifestyle to demonstrate sustainable living practice, will be open for free tours on Dec. 10 from noon until 3 p.m.

Mesa Lifestyle, an eco-lifestyle brand founded by Melissa Matarese, is behind the project. "Minimus" is Matarese's newest and largest project, and was created with the help of community sponsors.

The tiny house is designed to inspire "a more Earth-conscious community by demonstrating the process of building an off-grid house using," according to an announcement from the university.

Stop by Delaware Valley University (next to The Market), at 2100 Lower State Road, Doylestown to see it.
