Fireworks, Pride Festivals, Quarterfest Crawl: Top DC, NoVA Weekend Events

VIRGINIA — As June wraps up, there's plenty of family fun for the whole family to enjoy this weekend around Northern Virginia and D.C.

Independence Day festivities will start in some towns. Some of the major events include Arlington's 4th of July Celebration, Star Spangled South Riding, Star Spangled Sterling, Mount Vernon Independence Fireworks (sold out), What a Blast! at Hal & Berni Hanson Regional Park, Lake Fairfax Fireworks, Foods and Family Fun, McLean Independence Day Fireworks Celebration, Annual Workhouse Fireworks Show, Stars and Stripes Spectacular in Spotsylvania County and A Hometown Celebration in Fairfax.

Pride Month for the LGBTQ+ community will wrap up at the end of June. Some remaining events are Arlington Pride Festival, Lavender Con Queer Book Festival, FXBG Pride March, FXBG PRIDE Festival, Pride in the Vines in DC's Wine Country and Loud & Proud Disco Putt.

Other top events in the region this weekend are Smithsonian Folklife Festival, Quarterfest Crawl, Well Ray and Fredericksburg Comic Con.
