Hi! My name is Ellen, I am 34 years old and I am a native Dutch speaker who lives in Mexico. I love languages and I am fluent in Spanish and English. I have been teaching languages for several years now, both as a private teacher (online and on-site) and at a Mexican university. I am an enthusiastic and patient teacher with a lot of material, because I like to adapt my classes to my students' needs. It would be very nice to meet you!
I have about ten years of teaching experience. I have taught Dutch, English and Spanish, and also subjects in the fields of Cultural Anthropology and International Relations.

After my first 2 months with Ellen, I've been able to start feeling confident and try to speak Dutch with colleagues or in shops. I'm really happy with her - she's fun, very patient, knows how you can memorize and learn the basics and grammar rules. I highly recommend her as your teacher! Jij bent de beste Ellen! :)

To be honest I wish I found this website and Ellen months ago! I took so many Dutch lessons before this and none of them seemed to really be working for me but after spending time with Ellen she helped me improve immensely. Ellen is professional, really great at making you feel comfortable, and tailors the lessons to what you need and want to focus on. For example she has been helping me with my inburgering exams and so far I have passed all of them thanks to her! I highly recommend Ellen!

Most students start from A0 level, so I am very experienced in getting started with the language and helping students to build up vocabulary and useful phrases.
I love nice talks, so I encourage my students to talk as much as they can. It is extremely important to get over your fear of making mistakes, and just do it!
I am experienced in preparing students for their official exams, we will focus on all the important grammar topics and different skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing) that you need for the specific exam you are going to take.
