Australian parenting group Stay at Home Mum has shared a simple recipe for the comfort dish, which requires just 10 ingredients.
To make the hash brown lasagne, you'll need mince beef, pre-made hash browns, onion, garlic, tomatoes, gravy powder, plain flour, cheese, milk and butter.
'When you need a twist on a traditional lasagne but need to win over the family, this is your go-to recipe. The hash browns act as your pasta sheets adding flavour and texture to please all the family,' the group wrote on Facebook.

In a frying pan over heat, simply add onion and garlic. Next, add the mince and cook until brown. Add the tomato, gravy powder and plain flour. Stir until well combined then set aside.
To make the white sauce, combine butter with flour in a saucepan, and stir. Pour the milk in slowly, and stir until sauce is smooth.
Continue to whisk until sauce thickens.
To assemble the lasagne, spread a layer of the tomato-based mince sauce over the base of the casserole dish, followed by a layer of white sauce and grated cheese.
Place a layer of hash browns over the sauce. Continue layering with the remaining mince mixture, white sauce and cheese. Finish the top layer with grated cheese.
Those who have made the dish were pleasantly surprised with the flavour combinations of the lasagne and hash browns
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown, and cheese has melted.
'Hash brown lasagne is suitable for freezing for up to four months or keep refrigerated for up to three days in an air tight container,' the recipe read.
Those who have made the dish were pleasantly surprised with the flavour combinations of the lasagne and hash browns.
'It's surprisingly good and not as oily as my normal lasagne,' one wrote.
Many said they couldn't wait to give the recipe a go, while others suggested the hash browns would be bursting with flavour after soaking up the 'delicious lasagne sauce'.
