EXCLUSIVEButler who rushed Stevie Nicks to hospital during health scare says it was 'his pleasure' to help the Fleetwood Mac star

The castle butler who whisked Stevie Nicks to hospital in Scotland after she suffered an infection has shared his gratitude after the singer thanked him on stage.

The Fleetwood Mac star told an audience of some 14,300 how a quick-thinking butler in Scotland named ‘Simeon’ helped her as she suffered a medical drama.

The revelation came during a re-arranged gig at the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow last month after she was forced to cancel a performance there earlier that month.

While on stage, she revealed the reason behind the cancelation and the help she received.

The 76-year-old told the crowd: ‘I don’t know what happened, I just got this weird infection, and it just went crazy.’

The star said she needed to go to the hospital at around 2am and was able to get there with the help of the castle’s ‘wonderful’ butler ‘Simeon’ who ‘sped’ her off to hospital in his BMW Sedan.

Now, we can reveal the butler in question is Simeon Rosset, who runs Rosset Bespoke Butlers, and has looked after celebrities such as Pavarotti, Bono and Kylie Minogue during his decades’ long career.

Mr Rosset, who was himself a member of the crowd at the gig, said he had no idea that Nicks was going to recount the incident, let alone thank him by name on stage.

A touched Mr Rosset, from Paisley, Renfrewshire, said: ‘As a butler we are used to working in the background, it is not unusual to do amazing and difficult things for our clients but the thank-you is always very private.

‘No one will ever know the things that I have done and I have never given it another thought.

‘Looking after Stevie, she was extremely kind and friendly and even in this high stress situation it was my pleasure and honour to help her.’

Revealing the details on stage, Nicks had said: ‘I don’t know what happened. I just got this weird infection and it just went crazy.

‘I was staying at this fabulous castle - and I finally just looked at my assistant, it was like 2am and said “I think we need to go to the emergency (the hospital)”.

‘So our butler, this wonderful man named Simeon, throws us in his BMW Sedan, which was so great, and off we sped through the night to a hospital.

‘I was there for two days and they let me go back to the castle and we had to cancel the show.’

Mr Rosset, whose academy trains 12 butlers a year over month-long courses, said the thoughtful shout-out at the gig is something that will stay with him.

He added: ‘Rushing rock stars to the hospital in the middle of the night although not a daily occurrence even for a butler is not unheard of, but being thanked in such a touching and public fashion as in-front of a huge crowd at the Hydro is a once in a lifetime experience.

‘I had absolutely no idea that she was going to do it so when I heard her say my name I could hardly believe it.

‘It reminded me again that the reason I have the best job in the world is because I get to look after such wonderful people.’
