Serbian tennis star Ana Ivanovic has revealed the one thing she won't let her husband Bastian Schweinsteiger do in their relationship.

Football legend Schweinsteiger, 39, won the 2014 World Cup with Germany and enjoyed a fruitful club career with Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chicago Fire before hanging up his boots in 2019.

Meanwhile, retired tennis star Ivanovic, 36, also reached the summit of tennis, winning the French Open in 2008 and previously holding the mantle of world No 1.

The power couple, who live in Mallorca with their three young sons aged six, five and one, have been married for eight years.

They welcomed sons Leon and Luca in 2018 and 2019, respectively, and Ivanovic gave birth to their third child in May 2023, but the name of the third son remains unknown.

Despite his successful career in football, there is still one thing Schweinsteiger has yet to accomplish in his relationship with Ivanovic — win a tennis match.

Opening up on the last time they face each other on the court, Ivanovic revealed that she 'won't let him win' no matter how hard he tries to defeat her.

'He really fights to win,' she told German outlet Bild. 'But I won't let him win!'

Schweinsteiger added: 'She lets me run! From left to right, from front to back - it's brutal. I never thought that there was no chance for me. I lost 1:6, 2:6.'

The ex-Germany international risked landing himself in hot water with his wife after making a controversial comment about Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, live on air during the European Championships.

While working as a pundit on German TV channel ARD during Portugal's clash against Czechia, Schweinsteiger was shown a clip of the icon's eldest son, Ronaldo Jr, celebrating his 14th birthday.

In the footage, Rodriguez was seen in a green crop top and tight blue sweatpants giving Ronaldo Jr, who wore the new Germany away shirt, a hug with her back to the camera as she handed over his presents.

As he watched the video, Schweinsteiger told presenter Esther Sedlaczek: 'There’s something going on with them.'

She replied, 'What does that tell us now?', before Schweinsteiger quickly shot back: 'Where are you looking?'

Sedlaczek quickly realised that Schweinsteiger had his eyes on something other than the presents being given out, and sighed: 'Oh, Basti... On the jersey. On the jersey of the German national team.'

Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger began their relationship in 2014 before tying the knot two years later, with the tennis star retiring from the sport at the end of 2016 following a prolonged dip in form.
