Emily Andre encouraged her followers to head to the polling station on Thursday as she shared a rare snap of her family while en route to vote. 

The doctor, 34, who keeps her children's identities away from social media and the public eye, posted a rare picture of her brood as they walked in front of her on the way to school.

As Emily stood behind the foursome, Peter, 51, was seen pushing Arabella's pram while ladened with the children's school bags. 

Stressing the importance of casting your vote, Emily captioned the snap: 'Multitasking today, voting on the school run!

'Made me think about how many years it is until our kids will be allowed to vote, and therefore how important it is that we represent them with our choices and try to make the country the best place it can be for them, now and in the future.

Peter looked rather trendy as he kept it casual in some black shorts, T-shirt and a white baseball cap for the walk. 

And the Andre couple weren't the only celebrities urging their followers to vote as a host of stars including the likes of Lizzie Cundy, Myleene Klass, Ashley James, Piers Morgan, Tony Robinson and Charles Dance took part in the voting.

Socialite Lizzie, 56, appeared to turn her local polling station into her catwalk as she wowed in a tight blue dress and shades outside the station. 

She penned in the caption: 'First at the poll station!! I charged in like a thunder bolt into my village hall, I cast my vote and then I bought everyone a cup of tea and a custard cream.

'Always a vote winner! Big day let's go! #elections #electionfever #politics #bigday.'

Elsewhere presenter and singer Myleene, 49, shared a snap heading to vote with her passport as she urged her followers to 'to make change for you and for your children'.
