Johnny Depp unveils four new pieces of artwork inspired by his life including pieces of his ex and mother of his children Vanessa Paradis

Johnny Depp has revealed four tarot-inspired artwork pieces including one that features his ex Vanessa Paradis on Thursday.

The Hollywood actor has paid tribute to Vanessa, who is the mother of his two children Jack and Lily, by creating a piece of art calling The Empress.

Johnny said: 'It looks like a crown that has weathered storms. It shows a certain courage and strength of commitment…. the Crown has been through a lot; she still shines.'

Through this artwork, the Pirates Of A Caribbean star captured Vanessa seated in a stoic pose, he added: 'I know who she is inside. She's magnificent. She's pragmatic. She's practical.'

Johnny and Vanessa were together for 14 years before their breakup in 2012. Despite being together for over a decade and starting a family, the couple never married but remain 'very close'.

The other three pieces of art are called, The Lovers, The Emperor, and Strength.

He revealed that his piece, Strength, was inspired by a large-scale painting Johnny created when expecting the birth of his first child with Vanessa.

The actor has said that the maternal instincts he saw in Vanessa made him explore ideas of inner strength when painting, stating that 'a veil was lifted' when he became a parent for the first time.

For his third piece, Johnny went onto described, The Lovers as 'the beginning of the story' which reflects a balance between masculine and feminine, conscious and subconscious.

The actor said that the male figure who holds the rose is warding off danger and 'protecting' the female. The work evokes an equilibrium beyond purely romantic love.

Meanwhile The Emperor piece is powerful and was inspired by a work Johnny created while filming Jeanne du Barry in Versailles.

The father-of-two said the piece 'represents ignorant power. I certainly.. wouldn't dare put my own face as an emperor. Never. I made 'The Emperor' somewhat faceless because if you put the Emperor next to the Empress who do you trust?... The Empress'.

Johnny concluded by saying the four pieces, that work individually or as a set, 'represent a reading for me that I lived but also activating all the characters that I've played throughout my life.'

Ian Weatherby-Blythe, Managing Director of Castle Fine Art, said: 'This latest collection from Johnny Depp is perhaps his most revealing and evocative. The four artworks are clearly deeply personal and showcase Johnny's formidable skills as an artist.'

The artworks will go on sale from 2pm in the UK on July 18, exclusively at www.castlefineart.com and their nationwide UK galleries.

It comes after Terry Rossio, a longtime writer and producer on the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, stunningly remarked that Johnny would be welcome back for a future instalment of the film series.

Johnny was jettisoned from his lead role as Jack Sparrow amid the blizzard of controversy that resulted from ex Amber Heard's abuse allegations.

Now, however, Rossio has exclusively told DailyMail.com he 'wouldn't even hesitate' to bring the 'beloved' Depp back into the fold for another Pirates movie.

'Johnny Depp isn't the issue. The issue is: is there a story worthy? Is the script good? Can it be directed well? Can the finances of it be worked out? Those are the issues. The issue has nothing to do with Johnny,' said Rossio, 63.

A few weeks earlier an insider revealed Johnny was 'in really good spirits' and 'bears no animosity toward anybody' as his comeback continues.

'He's focused on moving forward. He's keeping busy. There’s a lot of good distractions, so there's not that much time to be reminiscing on that darker period.'

The insider added: 'There’s been a release of the old and embarking on this new chapter. He’s feeling better about where he is in life.'

He was 'very excited' for the US release of Jeanne du Barry, which served as 'a good challenge' for him as he 'did the entire film in French,' the source told People.

Depp was purportedly 'taking advantage of being in this better headspace. There’s a lot of good energy, and he surrounds himself with a good group of people.'

Heard had to pay him $1 million after losing the defamation case that he brought against her when she accused him of physical abuse.

Their lurid 2022 trial unfolded in the headlines, with Depp accusing Heard of having left feces in his bed as a bizarre prank on her 30th birthday.

After the trial ended, Heard sold her home in Yucca Valley, California for a reported $1.1 million and moved to Madrid with her daughter Oonagh, three.
