Kehlani is speaking out with claims that her ex-boyfriend Javaughn Young-White has been abusive toward her.

The 29-year-old singer — who uses they/them and she/her pronouns — made the claims in a restraining order request, and she has now been granted a temporary restraining order against Young-White, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

In her court filing, Kehlani — who shares her five-year-old daughter Adeya with Young-White — reportedly claimed that her former partner broke through her locked bedroom door in June of this year.

Earlier in August, Young-White — who dated the singer from 2018 to 2019 and played guitar for them in the past — filed a paternity petition in which he requested full custody of Adeya and claimed that Kehlani was involved with a sex cult whose members were given unsupervised time with their daughter, though he later claimed on his Instagram account that the documents were filed without his knowledge by his attorney.

DailyMail.com has reached out to a representative for Kehlani requesting comment.

In their filing, Kehlani says Young-White broke down her door shortly after she confronted him about a noticed that came for her in the mail indicating that he had filed for public assistance.

They note that he had been living in a small house located in the back of their property at the time, and they allege that he spent much of his time in that house smoking marijuana and consuming psychedelic mushrooms.

She also claimed that his bedroom was in a state of disarray.

The singer alleges that Young-White called them a 'b****' and a 'liar' after breaking into their bedroom, and they claims he went into a rant about their daughter Adeya.

Young-White allegedly blamed Kehlani for saddling him with a daughter, and she claims he said he felt 'trapped' by fatherhood and said his life was 'ruined.'

Kehlani writes that she told her ex to vacate her property that day, and she later went inside the back house on her property and allegedly discovered that it had marijuana, food and refuse lying out.

They added that they were concerned that their daughter Adeya had been spending a significant amount of time with Young-White in the back house, and they alleged that the five-year-old would return to them at the end of their ex's visitation days while smelling of marijuana smoke.

Kehlani also claimed in her filing that she was concerned about the effects of Young-White's alleged drug use, as she claimed he sometimes delivered religious rants when he is high.

She wrote that she feared for Adeya's well being when her father was in that alleged state, and she was done with the 'chaos and abuse' and had been suffering through for their past five years living together.

Khelani also expressed concern about a lack of communication with Young-White when it came to their daughter. She said they had lost touch after she told him to move out, but he has allegedly picked up Adeya from school without informing her of their whereabouts.

The judge ultimately decided to award Kehlani a temporary restraining order preventing Young-White from contacting them or going within 100 yards of them or their daughter.

She was granted full custody as well on a temporary basis, which will be reassessed at a hearing scheduled for September.

On his Instagram page, Young-White appeared to respond to the report by claiming that it was Kehlani who had broken down their own bedroom door, rather than him.

He shared a screenshot of an alleged text conversation, though the only part of it directly referring to the incident was written by him.

He also alleged that the singer had fabricated claims of abuse and was 'lying.'

Kehlani was previously accused of being in a 'sex cult' by Young-White in his paternity petition.

Young-White claimed in his petition that his name was not listed on their daughter's birth certificate, as the singer gave birth 'through a home birth orchestrated by what I would describe as a cult.'

'For the past five years, I have requested a copy of Adeya’s birth certificate and for my name to be added to her birth certificate to no avail,' he continued, according to documents obtained by Page Six.

Young-White additionally accused his ex of temporarily preventing him from seeing their daughter due to what he described as a 'vision' from a person he alleged was a 'cult leader' that Kehlani was in thrall to.

Young-White also claimed that Kehlani has refused to give him their daughter's social security number.

He allegedly became concerned that Adeya may not even have a social security number on file because of his ex's unusual behavior and evasiveness whenever he requested it.

As for the alleged 'sex cult,' he claimed in his filing that she has been connected to it for the past few years, and he said the group 'controls' what Kehlani does, as well as determining how their daughter is raised.

Young-White singled out the alleged 'cult leader,' who he said goes by the name 'Neto,' for keeping him away from his daughter.

He alleged that Neto shared a 'vision' in which he claimed Young-White was a 'danger' to Adeya and would 'kill her,' which he claimed led Kehlani to prevent him from being able to see their daughter for months.

Kehlani's ex shared his concerns over the influence the alleged 'cult leader' had on her, as he had learned that Neto allegedly had 'numerous accusations of committing sexual assault against women and young girls.'

Young-White found that especially concerning, as Neto had allegedly been allowed to perform 'religious ceremonies' involving his daughter during which no one was 'allowed to be in the room.'

'When I discovered this on her birthday in 2023, I was physically restrained and threatened by members of the ‘cult’ when I attempted to retrieve our daughter,' Young-White claimed.

He shared concerns about other people in the alleged 'sex cult' having unsupervised time with his daughter, including an 'adult woman' who goes by the title 'Messiah' and is allegedly allowed to 'take baths with Adeya while being under the influence of psychedelic drugs.'

Kehlani's ex additionally claimed that the songstress leaves their daughter in the care of 'random strangers' who are part of the 'cult' when they are on tour, and he expressed concern that Adeya allegedly 'sleeps in bd with' them, 'is given baths by' them, and 'is often in the bedroom alone' with the 'cult' members.

As part of his paternity petition, Young-White is asking the court to make Adeya's parentage official by adding his name to her birth certificate, after which point he requests that it grant him full custody of Adeya.

His filing reportedly indicates that he is also seeking child support from Kehlani, as he says their is a 'huge difference' between how much money they each make.

Young-White has also allegedly requested that Kehlani undergo testing to determine if she suffers from bipolar disorder, though it's unclear what basis he has to fear that she does have the psychological condition.

Later, TMZ reported that Kehlani and Young-White had been ordered to have mediation sessions to discuss custody and visitation arrangements and to work out a parenting plan, though the court will likely step in if the two fail to reach an agreement.

Following the report, Young-White distanced himself from the 'sex cult' claim in a statement posted to Instagram.

He claimed to have been misled by people connected to the group Kehlani was affiliated with, and noted that their daughter was no longer connected to the group.

He also claimed that his paternity petition was filed in error by his attorney and featured statements that he allegedly did not approved based on earlier interviews with the attorney.

During their 2021 Facebook Watch special, Pride On! Kehlani & Larry's Excellent Pride Ride, the singer spoke positively about Young-White and their decision to have a child with him.

'I have a 2-year-old daughter... She's the best. Me and her dad are like really, really close friends, and the decision to start a family was really easy for us because we both believed in each other's ability to be good parents,' said Kehlani at the time, via People.

'We just focus on being a team, honestly, and when I was able to tell him I've come to newer terms with my sexuality and he's super, super, super supportive,' they added.
