Andra Day is starting to worry that the so-called temporary tattoo she got for her new film The Deliverance might be permanent.
It was in April or May 2022 when the 39-year-old singer-actress decided to have the names of her character Ebony Jackson's three children - Nate, Andre, and Shante - inked on her left forearm.
'They told me, they were like, "This will be gone within nine at maximum 13 months,"' Andra (born Cassandra Monique Batie) told People on Wednesday.
'People literally ask me now, they're like, "Oh, you have three kids?" I'm like, "No, girl. These kids don't even exist!" Now I'm a fake mom of fake kids.'
In Lee Daniels' supernatural film, Day's onscreen children are portrayed by Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin, Florida Man actor Anthony B. Jenkins, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves actress Demi Singleton.

The CASSANDRA (cherith) singer's character is an alcoholic single mother, who enlists Apostle Bernice James (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) to exorcise a demon from Andre in the Pittsburgh-set horror thriller inspired by the Latoya Ammons family possession.
'I was hesitant that it was dealing with demonic possession. I'm like, "I don't know if I'm supposed to be doing this." But then I prayed about it and had peace,' Andra admitted.
'Just knowing the angle that we wanted to approach it from, I felt so much peace about that. I was like, "Yeah, people do need to see — I even need to see — and hear about this imperfect woman, this super flawed woman, these super flawed characters that are just doing the best they can with what they have."'
The Deliverance - also starring Glenn Close and Mo'Nique - hits limited US theaters this Friday before streaming August 30 on Netflix.
The last time Day worked with Daniels in 2021, she scored an Academy Award nomination for best actress for The United States vs. Billie Holiday and she similarly committed to losing 40lbs and smoking cigarettes to more authentically portray the legendary blues singer.
Frances McDormand wound up winning the Oscar for Nomadland, but the Super Bowl LVIII performer took home a Golden Globe Award and a Grammy Award for the dismally-reviewed, big-screen adaptation of Johann Hari's 2015 book Chasing the Scream.
Andra - who gets 2.8M monthly listeners on Spotify - is next scheduled to perform at The Blue Note Jazz Festival's The Black Radio Experience, which takes place at the Meritage Hotel and Resort in Napa, CA between August 30–September 1.
Day will also portray Aisha in Titus Kaphar's critically-acclaimed indie drama Exhibiting Forgiveness, which hits US theaters October 18.
