It was reportedly an intimate ceremony involving just a handful of their closest friends and family, at the Edinburgh Registrar's Office.

The four-time Academy Award nomine and the Scottish actor, 34, met in 2018 when they costarred in Mary Queen Of Scots and tied the knot over the weekend of July 20.

She played the title role in the film while her new husband played Lord Darnley, the monarch's husband. They started dating in December 2018.

The couple have kept their relationship close to the vest over the years, even going as far as to deny they were dating.

In 2019, a reporter for The Telegraph asked the Little Women actress, 'Am I allowed to ask if you’re going out with the person that everyone thinks you’re going out with?'

Ronan said, 'No,' putting an end to the discussion.

That same year, the Dunkirk actor refused to answer any questions about their relationship in an interview with ES Magazine.

'Oh, I’m not going to talk about that. I don’t like talking about that side of life,' he said.

Earlier this summer, the pair were spotted at the Glastonbury Music Festival in England.

The Slow Horses star shared a rare loved-up Instagram photo with his girlfriend.

Saoirse and Jack packed on the PDA as they stood arm-in-arm while watching a stage act.

It's been a gradual rise to fame for Jack, who once dreamed of becoming a footballer and attended stage school in Edinburgh as a teen, before landing roles in Irn Bru adverts and local plays.

In 2019, he told the Evening Standard: 'I wanted to be a footballer. It absolutely broke my heart when I realized I wasn’t going to be one.’

But after landing his big break in 2016's War and Peace, he became a household name, appearing in Mary Queen Of Scots in 2018, where he met his future wife.

More recently, he appeared with Gary Oldman in the Apple TV+ drama Slow Horses.
