Kyle Richards' estranged husband Mauricio Umansky's Netflix show Buying Beverly Hills is canceled

Netflix has axed the reality series Buying Beverly Hills, which highlights Mauricio Umansky and real estate agents at his company The Agency.

The 54-year-old entrepreneur, who is the estranged husband of Kyle Richards, stars on the show alongside daughters Farrah and Alexia.

The show’s second season premiered on the streamer in March.

Sources told Deadline the cancellation is due to viewership, rather than the cost of production.

It comes after the latest season shed light on Kyle and Mauricio's marriage woes.

Another point of tension on the show was Umansky's strained relationship with brother-in-law Rick Hilton.

The rift between the former business partners was the catalyst for The Agency's inception.

There was also a second season narrative based on Kyle and Mauricio's daughter Sophia becoming involved in the family business.

The unscripted show premiered in late 2022.

Promoting the series on social media at the time, the patriarch wrote in a caption, 'I’m beyond thrilled to share that @theagencyre is arriving on Netflix in Buying Beverly Hills, coming this fall.

'I’ll be starring alongside my daughters, @farrahbritt and @alexiaumansky, and a talented group of agents from The Agency in Beverly Hills.'

In a season two episode, Richards and Umansky joked about what they each will get in their divorce — the former couple announced their separation in October 2023.

In season two of Buying Beverly Hills, the reality TV personality, 55, and the real estate broker, 53, were seen bantering after news broke that they had separated after 27 years of marriage.

One episode also included a scene in which the real estate mogul admitted he was afraid to ask his estranged wife if she is dating her close friend, singer Morgan Wade.

There was also a scene that showed the parents sitting down with their daughters — they have four in total — to address their separation news after it initially hit the media.

'We should talk about that now that we're all here by the way,' Richards began before adding, 'Because coming out of the blue, what happened, it kind of blindsided all of us.'

The duo continued to navigate their separation throughout the season two episodes, with Umansky admitting in one episode that he hadn't had a real conversation with his wife in 'two months.'
