Holly Willoughby is left in tears after a car CRASHES following disastrous makeover on This Morning (but it's all an April Fool's prank!)
Holly Willoughby was left in tears and utterly shell-shocked on Monday's This Morning, after she was the victim of a very realistic April Fool's prank.
It came after a makeover segment appeared to go disastrously wrong, as a woman called Carol, (an actress) said she hated her new look which had been put together for her school reunion and asked not to be filmed.
Things then went from bad to worse as Carol tried to leave the set in a car, before it dramatically crashed into a wall, with Phil then turning to Holly to say: 'April Fool's.'

SURPRISE! Holly Willoughby was left in tears and utterly shell-shocked on Monday's This Morning, after she was the victim of a hilarious April Fool's prank
What on earth is going on: Holly was shocked and horrified when a car carrying a guest on the show left the studio and crashed into a wall
As the segment started, the makeover seemed like any other the show had done before, as Carol was brought in along with her husband Pete to get a new look for her school reunion.
Unbeknown to Holly the pair were actors, and the host was utterly clueless as Carol appeared on-screen to see her new look for the first time.
Sporting a crushed velvet pink dress with cowboy boots, oversized blonde hair and heavily applied makeup, her reaction was far from joyous as she stood in front of the mirror.
Unbelievable: Holly and Phil had been hosting a makeover segment for a woman named Carol, who received a new look ahead of her school reunion
Oh dear: Carol - an actress said she hated her look, held back tears and asked not to be filmed, before getting into the car which then crashed
Shocked: The TV hosts had sat in stunned silence at the disastrous scenes before them, before Phil asked they stop cutting back to the scene
Upset: Holly's eyes filled with tears as she watched the scenes unfold and she told Carol they would find her another outfit she liked more, but Phil said there was no time
Simply awful: Holly could be seen wiping tears away from her eyes
Turning to Phil and Holly on the brink of tears she said: 'Can we stop filming?’
Ever the pro Holly stepped in and suggested they head back downstairs to try on something else, as Carol admitted: 'It’s a bit of a shock.'
But Phil then added: 'We've got flowers and a plush day out in London. We’ve booked a table at The Ivy and drinks on the London Eye.
'If you go downstairs you can get into a car we’ve got you.'

Oh dear: But as Holly watched Carol's car crashed as she left the studio. she was horrified
Holly then quickly added: 'Oh no sometimes it just works out like that.'
After Carol drove away with her husband, the car got barely a few feet before crashing into a wall.
In a dramatic moment, both hosts sat in stunned silence at the disastrous scenes before them, before Phil asked they stop cutting back to the scene.
As Holly tries to cut to a break, Phil interrupts her, and quietly says: 'April Fools.'
Speechless: Holly sat in utter bewilderment as the prank sunk in, before she confessed her 'heart was pounding'
Pranked: Holly tried to cut to a break, before Phil interrupted to quiet say: 'April Fool'
Thank goodness: Holly was incredible relieved as she clutched her hand to her chest in shock
The makeover team then proceeded to break out into laughter, along with some of the crew, as Holly sat in bewilderment.
'Are you joking? That’s really awful. I was panicking so much, oh my god that was awful. I can’t believe you've just done that,' she said.
'That's the best and worst April Fool’s ever. I hate you all. I’m so relieved it wasn't real.
'I could feel myself panicking, I had to stop myself from crying, it was heartbreaking. My heart was pounding. My heart! When are we doing the gin item - I need a drink!'
Phil then explained that 'very few people were in on the joke,' while Holly went onto confess that 'now when you watch it's obvious.'
He then added: 'I’m so amazed you didn't swear.
'I looked like a cold-hearted swine as you were telling them to go downstairs and I was thinking no we have to get in the car because we have to stage a car crash.'
Reeling: She added: 'That's the best and worst April Fool’s ever. I hate you all. I’m so relieved it wasn't real'
