Listening to Michelle Obama read this book felt like a gift. From a private person who compromised everything about her inclination away from public life and politics for love and country, without compromising her beliefs or being compromised as a person, mother or professional. The private backstory to the decade we have all lived through as a nation, it is mostly uplifting and inspiring, only a little bit devastating.
Michelle Obama, America's forever FLOTUS, makes readers fall in love with her and her family all over again. Have your highlighter ready because she is dropping gems! This book encapsulates the progress our country made, the hope the Obama's permeated through this nation, and serves as a mirror to the tomfoolery happening in the White House today. The book is beautifully written, and illustrates the diversity of the Black experience.

Loved the book, I listened to the book, I would highly recommend it! Just hearing her voice was hopeful. I found her to be honest and fair.
