Meem 1 for every week of the year, rounded up to a zero.

message 2: by Susan (new)

Susan wasn't your goal 100?

message 3: by Meem (new)

Meem Yes it was. But really, who can read a hundred books in a year when they're in high school?

message 4: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha Can you seriously do it? Im kinda doubting it.....

message 5: by Meem (last edited Jun 10, 2012 12:36PM) (new)

Meem I'm not behind my reading challenge, so why not? Really, I'm five books ahead! :)

message 6: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha Yeah but you're bound to get behind your schedule from October if you're going to the slaughter-house in November. I'm scared:((

message 7: by Meem (new)

Meem I'll manage, doll. :)

message 8: by Meem (last edited Jun 11, 2012 06:08AM) (new)

Meem Actually, I'm 15 books ahead. I forgot to set the date read on some of the books. All I could think was, "This can't be right. I've read WAY more books this year."

message 9: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha I was thinking the exact same thing! You read like a.. like... hmmm.... Like Belle from the Disney movie!

message 10: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha I was thinking the exact same thing! You read like a.. like... hmmm.... Like Belle from the Disney movie!

message 11: by Meem (new)

Meem Belle reads?

message 12: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha Yeah, Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

message 13: by Meem (new)

Meem I really think I can do this.

Meem Cheers :)

message 22: by Susan (new)

Susan Bottoms up :P XD

message 23: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha You're like the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street! Except you're the Book Monster.

message 24: by Susan (new)

Susan Remember when Anika said Cookie Monster in bangla when Saad, her, you and me were playing hang man?

message 25: by Meem (new)

Meem No. :p You meant that for Mel, right? Still 15% ahead. I'm reading My Life Next Door right now.

message 26: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha I don't remember.... When? I'll never forget how hard I fell yesterday....

message 27: by Meem (new)

Meem Mel, what's the best book Sue has?

message 28: by Susan (new)

Susan I don't even know the answer to that :P

message 29: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha What about the ones Samy sent you?

message 30: by Susan (new)

Susan One was a the third book of a series and the other was the second book of another series!HOW COULD I KNOW THE STORY?

message 31: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha And they sound terribly YA. :(

message 32: by Meem (new)

Meem We sound like one of Enid Blyton's stories.

message 33: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha How so?

message 34: by Meem (new)

Meem "What about the ones Samy sent you?
And they sound terribly YA."

It just sounded like Enid Blyton's Funtime Tales.
(Don't mind me. I'm just weird.)

message 35: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha Yes you are. And I've been getting that a lot. Wonder why.......?

message 36: by Meem (new)

Meem :)

message 37: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha (>.<)

message 38: by Meem (new)

Meem At this rate, I'll never be behind.

message 39: by Susan (new)

Susan MEl one of them was about fairies! And it was a kid story.....Herbie Brennan and her stupid Faerie Chronicles!

message 40: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha Hey, I like fairies! And where are you going at?

message 41: by Susan (new)

Susan The thing is that it had too many characters and demons and spice masters and bla bla!Samy sent me the third book and not the first! Here, check the first one! I don't like it that much!http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...

message 42: by Meem (new)

Meem Doesn't sound all that bad.

message 43: by Susan (new)

Susan It's listed as YA but it should be for kids!:/

message 44: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha Yeah, it doesn't sound bad at all but I think I'm going to skip this one. And is it just me or does it sound like another one of Susie's essays? Minus the fairies, that is. :D

message 45: by Meem (new)

Meem Yes, it does, doesn't it? But it's gotten good reviews. 3.63...

message 46: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha 3.63 just doesn't cut it anymore. It's 4 or nothing.

message 47: by Meem (new)

Meem Mayesha wrote: "3.63 just doesn't cut it anymore. It's 4 or nothing."

Harsh. But I'm not judging.

message 48: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha Come on, you know what I said was true.

message 49: by Meem (new)

Meem Well, yes. But I'm willing to try something that's not rocketed up the ratings. Not every book is a bestseller, but that doesn't mean it's not great. But I know, I know. I can hear you saying, "Don't preach." So I won't. :)

message 50: by Mayesha (new)

Mayesha What you said is right too. But I'm not the one who filters- that's YOU! :D
