…is how THEY staff the project. An excellent example is the ITB division of Schneider Electric. They committed a highly capable internal team and took everything else off their plates. Schneider is the number-one Salesforce customer by volume in Europe. Their Oracle CPQ project was impressive in scale with over 1,800 users operating in 80 countries and very complex quoting. All eyes were on this project at Schneider because it touched every system that touches their revenue. Despite the scope and typical challenges, Schneider’s CPQ production-launch rollout was as smooth as I’ve ever seen. The simple reason is that they supported the project with a half dozen talented and ranking employees that were temporarily pulled from their regular jobs. Brenda Kenyon (who owned the application) and her team were extraordinarily meticulous, especially when the project came down to the testing phase. The moral of the story is put your best people on your project and free them to fully focus on it with PW.
