Every person you meet is a walking masterclass - are you taking notes? Here are my learnings from my corporate journey at Collegedunia. In January 2024, I embarked on a new adventure as a Product Analyst Intern with KickCash at Collegedunia. While the startup world didn't quite align with my expectations, the invaluable lessons I gleaned from my mentors have shaped my professional outlook forever. Here are my Key Takeaways from my Corporate Journey: - The Art of Deep Diving: Pratyush Nishantkar, my Product Lead, instilled in me the importance of thorough research. His challenge to uncover every bit of information about a product taught me the power of comprehensive analysis. - Discipline & Execution: Mohit Nimesh exemplified the 'get it done' attitude, showcasing overcoming constraints and delivering results. His insights into app functionality, tracking and performance marketing were invaluable. - Resilience & Humility: Hriday Sehgal sir demonstrated the perfect blend of relentless work ethic and graceful acceptance of feedback - a combo crucial for professional growth. - Leadership Finesse: Not to forget my manager, Rudraksh Sood, was a masterclass in people skills, expertly navigating team dynamics to drive productivity. - Wisdom in Brevity: A special nod to Shyam Saini, one of the most generous guy in the team, whose advice left a lasting impact on me and has stuck with me since then. I'm grateful to my entire team, including Rashi Agrawal, Rizil Jain, Rakesh Mohanty, and Sayan Chattopadhyay, for contributing to my growth during this internship. While the role may not have been my perfect fit, the lessons learned and connections made have been instrumental in shaping my career trajectory. ✨ April marked the start of new beginnings, but also the end of an adventure 🏁 Over the last 12 months, I’ve been working as a business developer for Closing Company. Where this started with doing sales calls and generating thousands of leads for numerous projects, I soon started taking on different responsibilities as well. One of the highlights of my time at Closing Company was the creation of a centralised database using Google Apps Script, consolidating live data from over 20 projects. This initiative not only streamlined operations, but also paved the way for insightful analyses through our "Operations Dashboard", allowing for decision-making with data-driven insights on project progress, employee performance, and KPIs. 📊🔎 I want to thank Diede Schuring and Rachel Hotman for their continued support and trust in me. Miguel Afoichini for the challenges we overcame together and the incredible results, the dashboard, we have to show for it. Finally, I can’t forget Danique Hekkema for showing me the ropes early on. Wishing you all the best for the future! I’m certain you have all the tools available to continue this incredible growth journey! 📈 At the beginning of the month, I also started my internship with Nexio Projects. I will be acting as the first point of contact for new business in the sales team, while also getting a taste of what it’s like to work as a sustainability consultant. Without a supportive team, everything else fails 😳 I took a bold step and downed tools for four whole weeks, leaving my two-person marketing team to hold the fort… And let’s just say, they didn’t even need me. Before I left, I made sure they had everything in hand and knew they could work things out together. I’ve been lucky to see firsthand just how incredible my team is, and I wanted to give a special shoutout to the backbone of our team Marissa Brown and our amazing summer intern, Autumn Golledge. Marissa, as always, has been my go-to support blanket whenever I’ve needed it. Her dedication and expertise continue to impress me, and I’m so grateful to have had her by my side from the very beginning of my marketing journey. 🥰 And then there's Autumn. She’s only been with us for a short time, but she’s already been smashing it out of the park. From the moment she started, she’s been a fast learner, picking up everything with ease and bringing fresh energy to the team. ✨ It’s not often you come across someone who can dive in so quickly and make an impact right away, but she’s done just that without my support. This whole experience has been proof in what I’ve always believed: without a supportive team, everything else falls apart. This isn’t that LinkedIn post where I tell you that it was 6 very intense months full of learnings during which I had the chance to meet and work with incredible inspiring people (although it’s true).
