Meet Tim Grobsmith! His journey with HOPE began following the loss of his mother when he was just 13 years old. He first attended a support group in 1997 and returned in 2010, finding solace and strength in the community. Driven by his desire to transform his own experiences into a source of support for others, Tim took on the role of co-facilitator for the Friends and Family Support Group three years ago. His commitment to HOPE stems from a desire to honor his late mother and to pay tribute to all those he has lost over the years. Outside of his volunteer role with HOPE, Tim plays paintball and enjoys local events like Canal Days. Tim prioritizes his family and friends and strives to support and protect those around him. Tim – thank you for your reliability, openness, and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in as many lives as possible.

Humane Kinect fosters friendships through sharing and relating to each other's personal life experiences. We believe the commonality of being imperfect human beings trying our best wherever we're at in life is enough to have compassion and love for each other. We discourage social division based on heritage, creed, political affiliation, appearance, race, sexual orientation, affluency, and so on. https://lnkd.in/gg2_GeWu #peersupport #community #nonprofit

Make every day a #giving day. Here are some ways to serve: ☑️ Support local social good organizations, mutual aid networks, and community organizers. ☑️ Combat loneliness by contacting relatives, seniors, or veterans. ☑️ Do an act of kindness or help a neighbor. ☑️ Identify your gifts, pick a cause that gets you fired up, and give back. Every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in. Read more on our blog: https://lnkd.in/gVXT8SPk

Giving Tuesday can feel incredibly overwhelming ... BUT, if you are looking to give, I highly suggest you donate to an org that is personally meaningful to you and/or you might have some direct insight into professionally. You want to feel connected to what you actually just gave to no matter how big or small. Below are some favorite non-profits that are pillars of their community, share often about the work they are active in, and I personally can speak to how great the leaders are running the ship :). Also, through Breakout's work we have gotten to know orgs from cities all across the US so if your org has a specific region // city // focus they are looking to give to and want some insights, would be happy to be a guide where I can. A quick 10 to check out, but there are so many: 1. Catapault Pittsburgh, led by Tammy Thompson (Pittsburgh) 2. GOODProjects, led by Darius Baxter (DC) 3. Take Control Initiative, led by Laura Bellis (Tulsa) 4. Cyber Collective, led by Tazin Khan (NYC) 5. Institute for AfroUrbanism, led by Lauren Hood, MCD (Detroit) 6. IRONBOUND Boxing, led by "IRON" Mike Steadman 🥊🏴☠️ (Newark) 7. Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth, led by Xavier McElrath-Bey, MA (National) 8. D-Composed, led by Kori Coleman (Chicago) 9. Prizm Art Fair, led by Mikhaile Solomon --- go if at art basel! (Miami) 10. The Breakout Foundation, we do some cool things too :).

Birmingham Stallions Wide Receiver… Thank you! If you’re a messed up man, you’re going to contribute to a messed up family. If you’re a messed up family, you’re going to contribute to a messed up church, if you’re a messed up church, you’re going to contribute to a messed up community, If you’re a messed up community, you’re going to contribute to a messed up state, If you’re a messed up state, you’re going to contribute to a messed up country, And if you’re a messed up country, you’re going to contribute to a messed up world. The only way to have a better world made up of better countries composed of better states filled with better communities influenced by better churches and inhabited by better families is by becoming a better man. It starts with you. The path to a better world begins with you.

DAY 10: STAND UP FOR WHAT MATTERS Today, we are reminded of the profound wisdom of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His words inspire us to speak out and take action on issues that impact our communities. Silence in the face of injustice only perpetuates the status quo. Why Speaking Out Matters Empowerment: Giving voice to the voiceless and standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Awareness: Raising consciousness about critical issues, from civil rights to environmental justice. Change: Driving tangible change through advocacy, education, and community action. How You Can Get Involved 1 Educate Yourself and Others Knowledge is power. Learn about the issues affecting your community and share this information. 2 Advocate for Change Use your voice to demand justice and equity. Participate in local advocacy efforts. 3 Support Grassroots Movements Local organizations are pivotal in the fight for justice. Support them through volunteering, donations, or spreading their message. 4 Engage in Civic Participation Voting, attending town hall meetings, and engaging with policymakers are crucial actions for systemic change. Join Us Together, we can make a difference. Follow us @FeivelJustice, participate in our initiatives, and let’s create a future where justice prevails for everyone. Feel free to share this post to inspire action and promote justice in your community. Let’s not be silent about the things that matter. #CivicRights #InspiringWords #JusticeForAll #MLK #FeivelJustice
