What made BHC a fans favourite is sadly lacking here, Eddie Murphy lacks any real energy which makes this movie a little one pace. Some nostalgia sprinkled in but not enough to save the movie. Like coming to America 2, Murphy seems tired and is acting from a chair.

I enjoyed the fresh EM comedy but ... 40 years later and all the cops are still cops? You people need to let these old guys retire. BTW, at least you could have freshened up the music. Ntl, if you liked the first one and feel nostalgic, you will like this too.

As much are saying, this is far more enjoyable than expected to be. What stands out in this film is how well it’s shot, with an imagery of nostalgia and modern times blended together, incorporated with those swaggy synth riffs that never disappoint. Not to mention, Eddie Murphy is being Eddie Murphy again, backed up by a great cast of originals and new faces. A far too late sequel that was approached with intelligence, making you forget how long it’s actually been.
