Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/30/24 Full Review Audience Member "Dark Matter" is like trying to follow a spaghetti noodle maze with a blindfold on. Plot holes? They're abundant, and big enough to drive a spaceship through. The romance is so cheesy it might just pair well with a fine wine. As for the science in this science fiction, it's in size 2 font and practically vanishes after the first episode. But, and this is a big but, the show is incredibly heartwarming and bingeworthy. It's like comfort food for the sci-fi soul. Intriguing from start to finish, it keeps you hooked despite its flaws. The real gem here is Jennifer Connelly as Daniella. She absolutely steals the show, delivering a performance that makes you forget about all the missing scientific logic. So, if you can overlook the narrative Swiss cheese and just enjoy the ride, "Dark Matter" is a solid pick. 4/5 stars.
