C&O 24-1136 Fatal Crash

This release is regarding information for C&O 24-1136, a fatal, single vehicle crash in the 3100 block of King Avenue
West.
On January 5, 2024 at approximately 8:40 pm Officers with the Billings Police Department responded to an injury
accident in the 3100 block of King Avenue West. Officers arrived on scene and located a crashed vehicle with four
juvenile occupants. Two of the occupants had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. One of the
occupants, a 15 year old male was declared deceased on the scene. The other occupants were transported to a
local hospital.
Officers have determined the vehicle was east bound when the driver lost control and left the roadway causing the
vehicle to roll. The initial investigation indicates speed is a contributing factor for the crash.
The BPD crash team responded to the scene and has taken over the investigation.
As of 8:45 am on January 6, 2024 the investigating Officers have cleared the scene and King Avenue West is now
open to all traffic.
