PILLOW BUYING GUIDE

It’s all about: comfort

On average, we spend a third of the day sleeping. To sleep well, we need to be comfortable. And to be comfortable, we need the right pillow. But the right pillow is different for everyone. How you sleep, in which position, preferences on fillings – and even allergies – can affect what is best for you.

Every one of our pillows is designed for a better night’s sleep, our guide is here to help you understand what is ideal for you.

Three things to consider

when buying a new pillow

1.

Support

What position do you sleep in

2.

Filling

What’s inside it

3.

Purpose

Who is sleeping on it and where

Different levels of support are needed depending on your sleeping position to help keep the spine aligned.

Natural or synthetic, we make sure each of our pillows feels particularly plump and comfortable to sleep on.

You may need a slightly different style for guest bedrooms, allergy sufferers and more.

How many pillows should I put on a bed?

In an ideal world, we’d all sleep on one pillow perfectly suited to our specific needs. But we also know that a well-made bed looks so much better with four and that some people just prefer sleeping on top of two.

If you want to sleep on more than one pillow, choose a lower support than you usually would go for. So, for side sleepers, you could try a medium on the bottom with a soft one on top to achieve the same height as a single firm one. Front or back sleepers could use two very soft ones.

For those who are happy sleeping with just the one, opt, instead, for firmer pillows to layer behind your main pillow, and remove it when you got to sleep. These act as a comfy extra platform for sitting up in bed reading, for example. Plus, they’ll look great when styling the bed.

Our care recommendations

We recomend repacing your pillow every two years. Treat it with a little love to maximise its life span.
