I have a damaged rim from sitting on a flat tire, can they swap the tire and TPMS sensor over to the new rim?

      A:

They certainly can and will. They’d probably charge something like 20 bucks. Be wary if they offer to do it for free though. They’ll rush and mess something up. Make sure… more

      First to Review

My search for one blown tire began on a Friday morning. My goal was to have this tire replaced on my Mercedes the same day. I invested about an hour of phone calls to 5 different tire stores for price and availability. To my frustration, no one carried this tire and all quoted either the next day or after the weekend. Finally, my memory recollected a new America's Tire opening in Millbrae. After my experience with America's Tire in Millbrae, I can't think of another establishment I would even consider. Although this review may be long, its worth reading. Here's my review in detail.

      - As cheesy as it may sound, Mauricio Valdez (Senior Asst. Manager) had me when he answered the phone by "how may I earn your business today?" What a great line!
      - After providing my specs on the tire and explaining my urgency, Mauricio took down my number and told me he will do what it takes to get me this tire. About 30 minutes later, he returned the phone call and told me that his vendor would be able to get the tire to him by Monday or Tuesday. However, there may be one at another location in the East Bay. He said he would attempt to get the tire by Saturday and in the meantime offered me to come in for a loaner tire so that I wouldn't have to drive on the spare. As kind as the gesture was, I declined. He emphasized that he really wanted to earn my business and to give him some time to see if he can get that tire by Saturday morning.
      - 3:30pm and its still Friday, I receive a call from Mauricio again. He tells me he retrieved the tire and I am ready to come in! What a surprise! I immediately drive over to the new location. So I asked Mauricio if in fact he did retrieve that tire in the East Bay. He confirmed that he did and it was really important to make his customers happy. I told him that he just made me look like a very good husband today. (although I already am...... he gave me extra brownie points) :-)
      - If any of you have ever been to a tire shop, this is THE tire shop above all others! They have the latest technology of machines and the place is so new and clean, you could literally eat off the floors.
      - The technician, Chinh immediately pulled my car into the stall and began working on the tire. Mauricio brings me into the customer room and begins taking my information and explains the charges in detail. By the time, he completed the transaction, my car was pulling out of the stall, ready to roll in just under 10 minutes. Chinh happily hands me the keys and explained that he reset all the other tire pressures and the TPMS system. I am completely floored.

In summary, these guys are just AWESOME!! I met another technician named Juan as well and they are all very professional, courteous, and they bring a great attitude to work. I can't emphasize how difficult it is these days to find great customer service in the automotive business. I mean I ONLY needed one tire! Mauricio and his team went way above and beyond their duty to make me a customer for life! They deserve this review and the recognition. I'll be the first to start this Yelp! review for the new business and I wish them well in their success.

Oh yeah! The price........ remember those 5 other quotes I got earlier? Without me telling Mauricio I was shopping, his quote was an astonishing 18% less than the next lowest quote! America's Tire is owned by Discount Tire.com. I didn't know that. Go to America's Tire in Millbrae should you need tires! Tell Mauricio "Nelson" sent you over. :-)

      Check tire pressure indicator.
I wanted to give a very positive review for Mauricio at the Millbrae location.
He was polite and attentive when I pulled my car to the designated tire pressure check area. I heard Mauricio page for customer service techs to meet a "customer" needing the pressure check services they offered.Minutes passed, no techs showed up, so I went back in the showroom to wait .
Mauricio noticed me and quickly came to follow up with me. I told him that I was waiting outside next to my car and explained that no one had come to the pressure check area, Mauricio apologized and did the pressure check and filled all 4 tires to specs, thanks again Mauricio! I want to give him a 5 star rating

      2 check-ins

"Could've been better" correctly said. Enticed by all the great reviews on yelp I came to this place with expectations that were not meet. I bought a full set of tires here despite my front tires still being "green" according to their check.
Paid in FULL brand new FULL set of tires all 4.

There were no follow up and no summary of what was done when I picked up my car. TPMS lights were still on after I left and it's been a week now the lights are still on. I've reached out VIA email yet no response.. NO replies.. I feel like they just took my money and then just considered me done.

Doesn't matter if MY TPMS lights still on is what it feels. I was under the impression all that was part of the package especially when I purchased a whole new set of tires. It's all new, so my TPMS lights shouldn't be ON at all. Thought this was something simple. Has nobody even check it before they handed my car back? The drive hasn't been smooth either. They sent me a survey. I thought surveys were suppose to be anonymous but it asks for my age and everything else. Feels more like something they use to get statistics more than for customer satisfaction.

I don't feel comfortable with recommending anyone to this place at this point (what they asked on the survey). How could I recommend when I'm extremely dissatisfied myself? This really could've been better and would've been had they taken the moment to actually check everything correctly before I was sent off driving my car that probably STILL needs to be brought back and fixed. More time wasted, gas wasted... I thought I could pay and have this be done with but nope. I have to chase them down now. *SIGH*.. yeah, I really thought this could be my permanent go to place and where I'd recommend everyone to go but nope.

Overall, a great shop to get your tires changed! Like all reviews before me though...make sure you make an appointment online and pay online. It's much better than drop in. The line was long. Perhaps it's better to get in during the mornings instead of afternoons. I went in to change all 4 of my tires to new ones; prices were comparable to Costco tires.

There's two lines upon walking into this location, Appointments/Pick up and Walk ins. I went in on a Thursday with a scheduled 4:15PM appointment. Arrived at 4:17PM, stood in line until ~4:35PM until I was helped. I felt like the Walk-in line moved faster for some odd reason, but I eventually got helped. The floor staff are very courteous and nice though. They estimated a completion turnaround of 5:30PM. I ended up getting a text at 5PM that my car was done. I was nearby and lo and behold, it was parked in a spot with 4 brand new tires I ordered. Appreciated the quick turnaround!

Perhaps they need to hire more associates to greet patrons in the afternoons? A lot of us were standing around with no one to greet us for a couple minutes. Also, just a note...this is a general tire shop that's meant to be high throughput. If you have precious wheels that you don't want scratches, I suggest you look for another shop. Otherwise, these guys are fast, affordable, and pleasant to work with!

Came here to install 4 tires on my Tesla model 3. Came in 30min earlier than my appt hoping I could get my car done a little earlier. Went in at 12pm with an appt of 12:30. Ended up getting my car worked on at around 12:50pm and finished around 1:15pm. That's fine.

The issue was after the install, I saw a lot of small scratches on my wheels. I was watching the guy install my tires from the window and saw him toss the wheel to the side after pumping air into it, causing some dents. My wheels were in immaculate condition prior to the appointment. Sad but it is what it is when you have strangers work on your car. They don't care about your ride like you do.

Front desk customer service was good though as the guy was very helpful and quick in getting me checked in. At the end of the day, it's a cheap tire shop that gives you lifetime tire rotations when you buy from them, but just know they don't care if they scuff up your wheels, if you care about that. Don't go bringing your Volks wheels or something high end here.

Our car had a tire that blew out after less than 300 miles. We called around to the various "Top 10" tires and service companies in San Francisco Bay Area.

Also, reached out to the dealership in Rockledge which is an hour and half from us given the car and tires were brand new.

Called America's Tires given they were on the list and I have seen advertising for them on local television. Not sure of their customer service, products or value given were call their local number and through their "Let's get you taken care of" recording four times.

When the customer service rep answered shared the type of tire we were searching for and he replied "No, we don't have that. It must be a discontinued model." I replied, "well that's kinda strange since its a brand new 2024 car with brand new tires with only 300 miles total". He responded "Oh, well those must be a brand new type and you will need to check with the dealership!".

The customer service was pleasant and if we ever happen to need new tires in the future, I might use them :)

Best place on the Peninsula to get tires. Service is outstanding, they have a lot of staff and lots of room here to put some new rubber in your ride. Unfortunately, they are so popular, that wait times during the daytime can be long, as so many people come here between 12noon-4pm. If you're in a hurry, I recommend that you make an appointment, but still allow for extra time as sometimes they get backed up by the previous customer(s). They have a clean & spacious waiting room, lots of installers & salespeople on staff, and the location is central to the ECR and Hwy 101 and easy to get to/find. Prices aren't the cheapest, I believe that Costco or Walmart is cheaper, but they aren't inflated (pun, lol) or that far out of line. What I like here is the service from the top down. The installers all seem to be younger highschool & college kids, but they are well-trained, efficient, and polite. They seem to take care of the customers cars, wheels, and tires. The waiting room has a good view of the service bay, so you can watch them work on your car. The air pressure check and TPMS code clearing station in back is free and also appreciated. Love this place, but so does everyone else, so it's always really super busy!

      Tips for the best experience:
      1. make an appointment
      2. research prices before you go in, if price-matching
      3. go earlier in the day, maybe get dropped off, then pick up later when completed
      4. mid-week better than beginning or end of week
      5. call ahead with questions, it get hectic here, so you might feel rushed or neglected
      6. clean up your car a bit, no one likes to work on a filthy car inside or outside!

      Updated review

Reviewed once before a year ago and stressed making an appointment. This time they fit me in earlier than my scheduled appt. = mid week so was a bit easier. Did not mention before but they did not replace my valve stems with my other car which is said to be included with tires (cars without Tire sensors) and once again I asked 3 times for replacement before and during service . They HAD to be reminded for sure . In the end I got new valve stems but wrong size and just too much time and trouble to wait again . Don't expect too much from this place . If it were not for the cheapest price tires and they fit me in promptly I'd be upset.

This place is fantastic! They will always have a long line of people waiting, but they really move quickly to check you in and then quickly get your tires assessed. Everyone is so professional and nice here! They were able to patch my tire and pull out a nail from it. I was back on the road within the hour and they made sure all my tires were patched and full. Best service ever!
