City Master Appliance Repair

Vitalii came today to fix our built in fridge door, the door was swinging too wide and it was hitting our oven. He did a great job, adjusted the door, very respectful of our house and environment, wore a mask, put on boot covers and charged a fair price. Will use Vitalii and City Master again.

Response time was fast, I was able to get an appointment the next day. Vitalii was the technician who came to check the stove top. He was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and polite. He did the job in like 20mins. Highly recommended!

I thought I had a leaky diskwasher, it turns out I had a leaky sink. Luckily, Vitalii helped to shut off the water to the house, ran out to Home Depot to get me (high quality) parts, and had things fixed and running in no time.

Lev was super quick to answer the phones, easy to schedule (for next day service), and overall great.

They were honest, knowledgeable, and great to deal with. Don't hesitate to book with them.

The light had gone out inside the microwave, which is part of a combo oven/microwave. Sounds simple enough to replace the bulb, but JennAir makes it extremely difficult: you literally have to pull the oven out of the wall and take off layers of shrouding metal to get to where the bulb is. Because of the weight of the oven, most repair shops want to send two technicians. I contacted another place (Master Appliance, not to be confused with City Master Appliance), who came out and estimated it would cost $800 to do the job; the estimate alone cost $75. I have reviewed them elsewhere but suffice to say they hardly merit any recommendation whatsoever.

So I called Lev at City Master Appliance. What a refreshing change! Lev estimated a cost of about $180, and scheduled Vitalii to come out, which he did, right on time, this morning. I was wondering how he would manage the bulky weight of the oven, but as he said, he's a big guy and had no problem. He knew what he was doing and was happy to answer any questions. He got the bulb replaced and under an hour but had a problem getting the oven door back on. He was afraid one of the hinges might be broken because it was not working properly. He called Lev, who happily was close by and the two of them managed to get the oven door on just fine; it really is a two-person job, I think. Because of the extra labor involved, the charge went up to $260, but that was still less than one-third of the cost proposed by the other company.

Bottom line: I would recommend both City Master and Vitalii without hesitation, and will turn to them first the next time I have any appliance problem.
