My 4 year old continental cooler is already not keeping up. It won't get below 43 degrees, continental won't do anything about it.

I can't say enough good things about this company. The owner, George is great. I mean super great he has old world charm and new wold service and tech down perfectly. I would trust any and all of my fridge problems to this company.I have a Samsung fridge, 09 model double door. That was my first mistake Samsung may have low prices at the sales point, but try to follow up with them. You can't. They have no tech support for any problems that arise after the sale. You can spend all day on the phone trying to get through to them. If you finally do they have no help to offer.
CALL Continental Refrigeration at 1-800-499-0855. George and his team are the very best. I wish there were more companies like his. On time, or ahead to schedule, know the problem and the solution on the spot. Their prices are reasonable and the quality of work is super good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 2, 2008First to Review
Continental Refrigeration is basically a 1 man operation. Things started off very nice and he told us what is wrong with the refrigerator. He consequently told us he'd have it fixed in a few days for $200. That turned in to 5 days and 3 more broken items jacking the price up to $1200, which we paid upon completion two weeks later. Had we known all those items were broken we would have bought a new refrigerator rather than repair this one. However he withheld this information until we were at the point of no return. At this point we had to pay him for the services rendered.
This company is a liar and a cheat.

Beware doing business with George and don't trust any diagnosis of your refrigerator. He told me he would have to replace an expensive computer part. If he had to order it, it would take several days. I would have to prepay for the part. Only issue was that the only thing wrong was that someone had turned the refrigerator off. No expensive part needed. I called Sears, they showed me how to turn it back on.

I just seen part of the documentary and enjoyed the ending of it. How AWESOME it was to see happy smiling faces willing and able to serve customers with a smile and knowledge. Love it

Our refrigerato/freezer went out on a Friday, and we lost all of our freezer
contents; had to be thrown away. We were lucky to contact someone on
Saturday, which was Continental refrigeration and they came out that day.
The technician said that he needed to put some Freon in but that there would be no guarantee/warranty on it. We were desparate and needed a working refrig. to save the rest of its contents. We said ok, and it costs $293. The refrig. lasted maybe a day and a half (both refrig./freezer) and we were back where we started on Friday.
It was great that we had good service on a Saturday, but after a $293 (and no senior discount) good for 1 & 1/2 days, it really wasn't worth it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carlos A.Burlingame, CA535116Aug 5, 2017
I have been using George's services for about 12 years. I currently have a Kenmoor 72493 that was having issues with the water dispenser and Ice maker. He was able to fix both issues in one service. I'd reccomend him to anyone!

George.. the owner and the only person who works for this company came to the apartment that I rent and told me that it would cost $350 to repair a 20 year old refrigerator.
I called the landlord and suggested buying a new fridge. The landlord agreed. George angrily picked up his things and left, but not before charging $65 and doing something to the fridge so that in two days time the entire thing stopped cooling and all of the food went bad.
This man is a con-artist and deserves to be put out of business.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rich W.San Francisco, CA567360309Oct 16, 2009
My fridge was getting too cold, food freezing up, the digital temp control was broken, ice maker not discharging ice. I was referred by Parkside Appliance to contact Norcal Refrigeration as Parkside does not repair fridges.
I called Norcal and asked for "Frank", someone said Frank was unavailable but could schedule a Sat 10/10 service call. The person who showed up was "George" from Continental Refrigeration. George inspected the fridge and said the repair would be replacement of the 1) digital control board, 2) ice-maker. His verbal estimate was $600+. George said he would call me on Mon after finding out the exact costs of the parts & timing for this repair.
Prior to George's departure he insisted on collecting $65 for the 15 min service call. Days go by no calls from Norcal or Continental refrigeration. So on Thu 10/15, I called Norcal and spoke to "Frank" and informed him of my experience with "George". He seemed surprised and promised to get back to me. More bullshit no call backs. I'm going to order the parts via Marcone and fix it myself.
I wanted to give these guys the benefit, but the scammers they are deserve a ONE star review. Please avoid these two companies Norcal & Continental refrigeration as they'll charge you $65 for doing nothing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andre P.San Francisco, CA12417Feb 15, 2012
The "company" Continental Refrigeration is actually just one man, and he doesn't seem to know much about fixing refrigerators or customer service.
He argued with me about my freezer being broken (it doesn't keep food frozen, there's not much room for interpretation), and then replaced the defrost controller even though there were no issues with it.
Followup: I ended up using the EXCELLENT General Refrigeration Repair company for the repair. They were extremely helpful and correctly diagnosed the issue, over the phone, that Continental refrigeration was unable to find in person.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
