Gold Standard Appliance Repair

I had a Whirlpool dishwasher that failed to run, showing a code E2F2. I went out on Yelp and called a few places seeking some advice. Cristhian provided a nice flat rate labor quote, full transparency on the part(s) that could be needed, estimated time for parts and his availability, and remained communicative throughout the process. He showed me the corrosion in the parts and recommended replacing one while leaving it up to me on the second. Not wanting to be a penny saved and pound foolish I opted for both to be replaced.

Once the job was complete, he also noticed that the dishwasher wasn't secured properly and was imbalanced. He could have ignored it, said it wasn't his job order and left it alone. But he didn't. He remedied that as well, balancing the dishwasher properly and securing it down.

In short a very positive experience all around. Highly recommend for his transparency, efficiency, and good demeanor. Clearly he is also willing to go the extra mile to ensure the job and client is completely satisfied!

Also very good COVID procedures with glove, mask, and shoe covers.

Had a couple of nagging appliance issues - a dishwasher that wouldn't drain and a washer with a small leak. Nothing urgent, but decided to finally fix them. Contacted GSAR and via Yelp and they responded right away.

Christian arrived within the time window. Very personable, masked up, and wore booties! got to work right away. Had to take both appliances apart and found both (small) issues. 1 hour later both are fixed and the wife is happy. Happy wife, happy life!

Cristhian was a professional through and through who helped me replace the malfunctioning soap dispenser in my dishwasher. He also put up graciously with my payment error and returned to get a new check. Communication in general was good, which I really appreciate as I am juggling a lot of homeowner issues right now. On to the next task!

I recommend Gold Standard for any appliance repair - absolutely top notch. Gold Standard was the only repair service which was willing to give me an estimate to do the work I knew needed to be done to our dishwasher - the replacement of the heat pump which I had diagnosed myself and had the part ready. I just didn't feel comfortable doing the replacement myself. All other repair shops would only give me a fee to come diagnose the problem I already knew, and then they would apply that fee to the service if we went with them. This means that we would be at their mercy to charge anything they wanted or forfeit the diagnosis fee. Gold Standard was upfront and told me exactly what it would cost to do the labor to replace the heat pump.

Cristhian arrived a bit late due to heavy traffic but did contact me ahead of time to let me know. He was here for about an hour and our dishwasher is working as good as new, all for exactly the price they initially quoted me for the work I needed them to do. Thank you, Gold Standard!

Cristhian helped with our somewhat unique dishwasher installation and he is such a lifesaver! He was very responsive, courteous, and a true professional. The estimate he provided was very reasonable in comparison to other businesses.

After making an appointment online through Yelp, I called the morning of to make sure he could help with the installation (other businesses said they couldn't or were busy in the next few weeks). He promptly returned my call and assured that he could do the job. He arrived on time and was kind enough to answer our questions and explain the steps to install the dishwasher (long story short, we tried to install it ourselves but failed miserably due to the lack of proper tools). The installation was quick, and he was very clean throughout the process.

Christian installed our new dishwasher and we can't be happier. He was very responsive, really accommodating with scheduling (even though the appliance store wasn't very cooperative with delivery!), arrived on time, and did an excellent job of doing the installation. He even corrected some kinked tubing in the existing drain system to ensure that the dishwasher functioned effectively.

When I sent the bid out via Yelp to fix my dishwasher, 9 sites quoted me a price just to come assess the fix (which they reassured would be waived should I choose them). What was I supposed to do? Get multiple bids, pay all of them, and hope one had a fair price?

Chris was the only one that was transparent enough and bold enough to 1) take a guess at what the issue is 2) assure me he had the parts needed and 3) quote me a price. He was quick to respond to my follow-up questions as well. This is the type of trust I want to have with my contractor as it provides high-standards and solid customer support.

I was able to get Chris scheduled only 2 days later, the job took 30 minutes and his price was very reasonable. He ran the dishwasher and the problem seems fixed. Additionally, he invoiced me after the job and assured me if there were future issues, I could reach back out to him.

He also came masked up with booties so very respectful of our house rules. I will personally use Chris again and I would recommend him!
