This hotel was the perfect location for our vacation in San Francisco!
Was a bit uncomfortable with all the rumors about SF but, we did not encounter any negative happenings.

Our main event was attending the Giants game at Oracle Park (trying to hit all the Major League Baseball parks)... We were within a couple miles of walking to the ballpark.
One block over from the Hilton hotel was Chinatown, they just happened to have a "night market" the weekend we went, lots of fun!

I was about ready to give them 5 stars, but nah! So I made reservations a few weeks ago, checked in online the day of our stay, get to hotel and my digital key doesn't work. So I go to the front desk and agent informs me that my reservation had been canceled. I asked how is that possible since I had already checked in online.

Apparently, my credit card didn't go through so the reservation was canceled, but I wasn't notified. No calls or emails to give me a chance to fix it, just a txt saying digital key not available and to check in at front desk.

So here we are at the front desk trying to figure out why our reservation had been canceled when I had already checked in. I was clearly getting agitated so the manager was called to help fix the situation. He assures us this was unusual but happens once in a while. With the same card I used to book online, they were able to reinstate my reservation and even upgraded us to a suite on the 26th floor with sweeping views of the bay and Coit tower.

Once I saw the room, my sour mood melted away and all was forgiven. The suite was huge, with a separate bedroom, living room and a dining area. My only complaint is the nauseating smell of pot coming in through the bathroom vent. Fortunately, our room came with a personal air purifier so we just closed the bathroom door and was able to enjoy our one night stay. Walked to Chinatown and felt relatively safe.

Ok, so why am I only giving 3 stars? Checked my credit card statement a week later, lo and behold they charged us twice! Once for the original room I had booked that they canceled and again for the room they rebooked for us after cancelling our original room.

Per accounting, the charge was for late cancellation. Seriously, what the hell kind of hotel master Jedi trick is this. So after some back and forth, she said she'll reverse the charges but I'm still miffed at this slight inconvenience. I do wonder if I hadn't caught this, would they have issued credit? Probably not. long story short, make sure to double check your credit card statements.

      Hi All,
I would like to say that the hotel is clean and updated. Overall, the guest service is good and the cleaning room crew is nice and professional. I would like to know if the outside maintenance crew can help clean up the dirty smell in the customer parking lot. Level C,D,E of pee smell is so bad. And make sure that there is a sign of where and how to get to the front desk for check in. Visible sign to the front desk and lobby area from the guest parking. More lighting in parking level C,D,E.
      Thanks

I was excited to see the Hilton hotel at a reasonable price and jumped at the opportunity- even booked 2 rooms to make sure my entire family was extra comfortable but I was incredibly disappointed. The hotel itself is nice, it's clean, and staff was friendly at arrival. When my husband and I got to our room it was steaming hot in there! We turned down the AC and decided to go get some dinner. When we came back, it was still hot so we turned the AC down some more and waited. The room never cooled. I called the front desk and they told me that they had been having issues with the ACs around the entire hotel for days and there was nothing they could do. I would have LOVED to be informed at check in because I promise I would have cancelled my reservation. We had to put in 3 maintenance orders and wait for over an hour for someone to finally go up to the room and take a look. It is now 10pm, we are sitting in the room sweating, and we are still waiting for the AC to be fixed. Worst of all? There are no other rooms in the hotel for us to move into and I was told I can't get a refund- not even partially. I am incredibly tired, hot, and disappointed.

This hotel deserves no stars . The name Hilton sounds nice but service and amenities are horrible. Booked through third party (hotels.com) for this stay which didn't state the parking overnight would cost $60. When checking in the associate mentioned it to me and I was shook because it wasn't on the booking. I understand this isn't their wrong and it is through the website I booked which I will be contacting as well. But the associate replied in a sassy / rude attitude "This is why you shouldn't be booking anywhere else and book directly with us because it'll say on our page .. should've read our page" . Not sure why hotels.com is partnering with them & bringing cliental if that's the kind of response they're giving . Not only that but the AC in the room is not all great kept turning off and the room would get warm in the middle of the night . Paid for the city view room but the windows are dirty so the view wasn't so clear . No breakfast included with stay but they do have a cafe where you can get snacks and coffee . The associate there seemed miserable like she hated her job , asked if they had iced coffee and she said no in a bothered manner. Ended up getting a hot coffee and simply asked where I can get ice and her response was there is no ice here . Everything here just feels like employees are not HAPPY , I've been to cheaper hotels and the service is immaculate . Won't be staying here again .

I believe it's kind of strange to write a review about a garage. But, as this garage is located in the North Beach/Chinatown section of San Francisco, where parking is at a premium, I guess it holds its own sense of logic.

First of all, I have been parking in this garage for well over 30 years. In each case, I only parked there when I was staying at the Hilton. So, this was my hotel's parking garage.

Once upon a time, this garage only allowed patrons of the hotel to park within it. Times change however and now it is a pay to play parking garage. Yes, if you're staying at the Hilton you still park in this garage, but so can anybody else who is willing to pay the price.

As is the case with all parking garages is in San Francisco, this garage is not cheap. I won't list what the price is right now because I'm sure it will change very soon--as is always the case. Just know, you're going to pay the standard rate if you hope to park here, which is not cheap.

In terms of the actual design of the garage, you pull into it off of a side street, there you go up or down depending on your location, and the type of patron that you are.

Once inside, though it's a little tricky to maneuver around the curves, the parking spaces are fair sized, so you don't feel too smooshed in, as is the case with some garages in the area.

Overall, if you're staying at the Hilton or you just need a place to park in the North Beach/Chinatown area, this garage may suit your needs.

This hotel is fake luxury. The inside looks nice and updated as well as the rooms. The customer service is subpar. This hotel claims it is a pet friendly hotel and I have seen many dogs come in and out with their owners yet they don't have emergency dog bags, a small grass dog relief area. The worst part of this hotel was the bartender. After taking the flights of stairs down with my service animal that immediately entered the bar/restaurant area I thought I would order a drink. I was immediately asked by the bartender without even a hello if this was an ADA animal. I said yes and she asked to see my papers. After asking why and stating that we are staying in this "pet friendly" hotel I was asked to leave if I would not provide paperwork. This is legally not allowed and was up in my hotel room on the 19th floor. I had to take the stairs due to the elevator taking 10+ minutes to bring me to my room. I left as this is absolutely ridiculous how they treated us.

The Hilton brand is truly declining. I feel like when I saw that this property was rated with only 3 stars! I should've listened. Customer service within this brand is at an all time low. I'm rolling with Marriott with my future stays. But be advised, this property is not it! Safe travels.

This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Was in San Francisco for 4 days for my anniversary and had to be moved 3 separate times to a different room. My first room had a really nice view but the AC was not working or the TV. The sink was was also leaking in the bathroom. The second room the toilet was broken and noticed as soon as we arrived to the new room. The tv didn't work at all in the second room also. The third room was ok but we did lose our view. Horrible hotel and thought it would have pretty high standards being a Hilton. The manager Alonso was rude and was very unhelpful. He asked us what more do we want after our 2nd room. Very bad attitude and would not stay there again.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Online claimed it was a 4.8 star. A motel would've been better. The walls are thin and the dude next door wouldn't turn off his radio alarm clock. Called customer service at 6am that's how bad it was. Also woke up with rashes on my hand and little son had rashes on his foot, can't prove bedbugs but those were the only body parts exposed. Oh and someone left a trash bag around the smoke detector. Can't wait to get tf out. Have fun staring at pop corn ceiling.
