They installed a new range hood and did a great job. It was more complicated than anticipated. Thank you!

We needed closet and plumbing repairs. The guys were very efficient and timely. Good job!

Just want to reiterate, DO NOT use this business. I feel even more strongly about this after John responded to my first review.

Here's the response John posted (I'm also attaching a screenshot in case he deletes):
"We are always happy to help you, we really give the lowest prices for the highest quality work. What can I offer you, the guarantee for the work has already expired, the manager sent you an invoice for the work, I'm sure that another part has broken, if you want we can come to you for free and see how we can help you, we areflexible and adequate, write me your text message on the phone and we will be happy to solve your problem or write your phone number for communication and I will contact you without fail and help you. Your son said that you need help, and We repeatedly called you on your old phone with offers to help, but you did not answer, I contacted a neighbor, he promised to call back if help was needed, but did not call back. I'm sure we can resolve the misunderstanding if that's what you want to resolve."

Here's why this doesn't make sense:
A. I never got an invoice for the broken part. I had a lot of trouble contacting them to even get this information and it was all over text.
B. I don't have a son. I have two daughters, age 2 and 4. I'd be very surprised if they told John's company that I need help.
C. I don't have an old phone, my number has not changed since about 2008.
D. I see my neighbors almost every day, John most definitely did not contact them.

He also messaged me saying he would help me for free only if I update the review to 5 stars first (screenshot also attached). This is against Yelps terms of service, I have reported this behavior.

I hired them for a dishwasher repair project in which I reported of a dishwasher generated error code suggestive of a clogged dishwasher as the water was not draining and accumulating at the base of the dishwasher
They agreed to provide this repair service for $200. However during their service visit, the angle valve below the sink started to leak that was not previously leaking.
This damage to the valve created a bigger issue and they quoted additional $400 plus cost of the valve to perform this new job. They also told me that will have to shut down the water of the entire apartment building
I did not pursue the additional valve replacement project with them as their quoted price was very high plus it was extremely hard to communicate with them.

I got the same valve replaced from a different plumber for $185 (including the price of the valve) without having to shut off the water of the entire building.
I DO NOT recommend them to the yelp community due to their poor communication skills and unfair prices.
They said they have 20+ years of work experience that was clearly not reflected during this project.

"John" and Dmitry did a nice job on a very custom installation of a range exhaust hood in a rental unit I manage. A couple of other companies either declined to offer an estimate ("too custom for us") or rather much higher (60%) higher bid than John offered. J&D showed up pretty close to on time, did the job as bid though it required a LOT of workarounds and customization due to the space this (rather fancy) range hood insert was fitting into. 7 hours later, it was done. cleanup was done reasonably well. Their Russian (?? I didn't ask, but ... ) was a little thick, but with Google translate we got through it pretty well.

Did good work, nice enough guys, fleeced me on price. I agreed to a job cost upfront thinking it was a bigger job, ended up taking them about an hour to patch some duct holes.

My fault for not trying to fix it myself first, lesson learned.

The two gentlemen arrived to replace our faucet and sink water heater. They completed the job swiftly and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. They quickly identified the necessary parts and provided clear explanations regarding what was needed.

BEWARE!!!
Do not do business with these people. They will rob you! Look at the conversation I screenshot below. I created a project on Yelp to get quotes from different businesses to install my blinds. Other businesses quoted me $200 to $300 for my entire project. So when John's repair came back to me with a "flat rate" of $150, I agreed. Imagine my surprise and disgust when they finished the job in an hour and told me I owe them $800! Don't use the words, "flat rate" if you don't understand the meaning behind this phrase. Beware of these people. They will scan you.

Our front door wouldn't open or close due to the wood under the bottom of the door frame being rotted and swelling. I used Yelp to bid the job and got a fast reply from John's Repairs. They came out on a Sunday and did the job fast and well. They cut out the rotted section, replaced it with new wood, sealed it and install a combination of the old base with new metal. I was pleased with the final result. I'll have to sand and paint the finished work on my own. But, I'm happy with the professional work they did. I would use them again and recommend them. They responded quite quickly but, at our request, did not solve the problem. The issue is somewhat complicated so we will return to it after the holiday. Two very nice gentlemen really tried to make the repair but also understood that we wished to wait.
