Lee's Appliance

The oven door of my old Tappan stove could not be kept closed. After unsuccessfully using two appliance repair contractors I was discouraged. Then I discovered that I had used Lee's Appliance for minor work since 1979. I had forgotten them. I contacted them and John arrived the next day. He had an impressive array of parts and was able to repair the hinge on one side of the door. It had functioned with only one hinge and he only had the one part. He said that likely the door would stay closed with that one hinge but if necessary he would construct a hinge fitting the other side and return to install it. Rather quickly the door failed and we contacted him. He returned immediately with the additional hinge and installed it. Because the first "fix" was not successful he offered to waive some or all of his labor charge. I refused because he had not guaranteed that the original fix would suffice. I paid for the part and for labor in full. He asked more than once if that settlement was ok and I insisted it was entirely proper. Lee's Appliance is an impeccable business. How could I have forgotten them? John is very resourceful and I recommend patronizing Lee's Appliance for any and all appliance repairs.

John Lee and his team couldn't have been a better fit for our 70 year old stove. John is knowledgeable, and friendly my family and I are so grateful to have our oven working again. Thank you, John Lee.

John brought my discontinued Thermador wok burner back to life. We scheduled an appointment that was a week out and he showed up promptly on time and fixed the unit even though he'd not worked on one previously. I'd definitely utilize his services again!

John is an absolute gem. He came to fix my refinished 1950s Okeefe and Merritt that was beautifully reconditioned but had leaky gas smell. He promptly came by to adjust the pilot lights (my husband and I are engineers; we couldn't figure it out by ourselves and the copious YouTube videos and online articles), and also made adjustments to the rest of the stove to make it practically like new. He also patiently explained everything to my husband so he can learn. We are so thankful for John's expertise and service! We would call again and recommend him to anyone looking to service their appliances, especially the beautiful old stoves!

Although I was not the direct customer, my landlord utilized Lee's Appliance for the repair of our gas oven. The technician who came was John. He was excellent - a true professional who knows what he's doing. John confirmed right away that the igniter needed replacement, and expertly installed a new one - he was prepared in advance for the service call. On top of that, also a nice person. Lee's is fortunate to have him, and top notch service deserves a 5 star rating.
PS - oven is working like brand new, better than before the igniter went out :)

I highly recommend Lee's. I have a Viking free standing 6 burner oven. John fixed my starter in the oven plus more. I was previously using a "certified Viking" person & was not happy with the attitude or service . John was super professional & friendly.

The reviews are true: Great service at a reasonable price.
A tenant filed a maintenance request for her gas oven. She smelled gas and the thermostat control did not work.
The technician, John, came out the next day. After he was done with the repair he called me, explained the issue, and told me that no gas leaking, and that the oven might need the replacement part should the repair not work long term.
I was particularly impressed by how quickly John came out and taking the time to call me once the job was completed. Usually I just get a bill.

As our gas stove started to malfunction, one by one 3 out of 5 burners stopped igniting. I asked around and Nextdoor neighbors recommended Lee's Appliance. What a positive experience! This is a small family-owned business. The husband does the repair work and the wife handles administration and schedules appointments. When I asked for a quote, she gave me a range, noting that parts would be extra. John arrived on time, assessed the problem, fixed the stove and charged a very reasonable price, which was within the quoted range.

John Lee is amazing. He is extraordinarily prepared, professional, and determined to find and correct the problem. He has so much expertise that is unbelievable. I haven't been able to use my oven for the last 10 years. Even when it was in the off position it kept running at a low level and I couldn't leave it on. John worked on it and determined what the problem was which was a real mystery. He worked diligently to find and correct the problem quickly . I am just thrilled to now have an oven after not being able to use my oven or range for 10 years. I feel so fortunate for John's referral.
